Rigel, a star-named ship

                                                    INTRODUCTION

This book is a compilation of all the work that was done after the shipwreck "Rigel" in the Argentine sea, in the province of Chubut. You can't write everything that was really done because the sheets of ten books would not be enough to tell the personal story of each father, each mother, each wife or each child of the crew. However, it is good to give an initial tip to urge personal investigation. Just as there are many things at the bottom of the sea that the human being does not know, so in human relationships there are many secrets, many feelings, many crimes, much intolerance.

After "Rigel", everything changed or almost everything. Thousands of problems came to light, and a serious one was that old ships were sent to the sea regardless of whether they sank or not, it only mattered that insurance could be collected and the fishing authorization certificate sold. Instead of taking them out of circulation, taking them to the junkyard, or selling them for placement in museums and being part of history, they were sent on a journey of no return. With many ships it worked for them  many years, but with the "Rigel" it was different. The game did not go well. All the legal steps were carried out and the authorization of the Judge in charge was reached so that the divers can get off and recover the bodies. That authorization came to the Casa Rosada (Government) and still, in 2020, we are waiting for the order to be accepted.

Environmental management covers all kind of procedures; from planting a seed; eradicate landfills; monitor that there is no corruption and report. This book presents a theme where everything is synthesized. Until the bodies are recovered and the "Rigel" is not raised, we will not be able to present our evidence to  Justice, but we will ensure that all who really want to know the truth have the opportunity to get access to it.
